Not only are Robotality continuing to polish their strategy RPG "Pathway", they're also working towards a big free update. See Also: My original thoughts on Pathway.

They haven't said what's coming in this big free update, only that it will be due "at the end of summer" but they do plan to make a blog post about what's coming.

As for the recent update to the game, it's quite a good one. A big new feature is the ability to respec (change) your skill trees. You're going to want to be careful though, as each respec will cost more after your first one.

They also improved the "Dog Friendly Mode", a feature added soon after release to accommodate players who didn't want to see their companions put down with death effects. With this newer update, instead of just disabling effects on them they will now disappear into a parallel universe and it will also remove any prompts that are "hurtful towards dogs".

Also new in this update is a "No Bloodshed Mode", for those who don't want to blood or gory stuff in it. For example, bloody heads on sticks are replaced with plain skulls. This, along with the also optional Dog Friendly Mode should allow a wider audience to enjoy it.

On top of all that characters can now be levelled-up during the adventure setup phase, damage calculation was tweaked and a bunch of bugs were squished.

You can grab Pathway on Humble Store, GOG and Steam.

I enjoyed this game very much - still have 2 adventurers to unlock, might leave it for the big update :).

The game really improved with all the patches they released since the launch.
