Resolutiion, developed with the FOSS game engine Godot Engine is a very promising and stylish fast-paced action-adventure coming to Linux.

If you missed it, one of the team behind Resolutiion actually wrote an article for us about developing on Linux. That was way back in February last year and progress has continue on since then. Monolith of Minds now have a Steam page up to follow along and a new teaser trailer shown below:

It might be short at only 33 seconds but it certainly does the job. Incredible style, action that looks intense and…I need more!

A quick bit about it:

Resolutiion is a fast-paced action-adventure created by two angry German brothers leading a band of vagrants who loaded it with lovely pixels, dirty jokes, deep ideas and badassemotional tunes for hours of punishing combat, rewarding exploration, and layered storytelling.

Explore a fractured future, gathering weird weapons and stories, to piece together the past: a friend betrayed, a family broken, worlds at war.

You can wishlist and follow it on Steam.

It's currently scheduled to release sometime late this year.

The little guy even runs like a badass! I'll need to see more before I commit to a purchase, but it's wishlisted all the same.

What's the weird bar in the middle of the screen? I couldn't focus on the dude running - too busy wondering what it did, how it was going to change, why it was there...? :)

Probably just me!

Looks interesting though. Vaguely Hyperlight Drifter-y, vaguely Crosscode-y, but those are fine pedigrees to remind you of!

The blue one seems to deplete when he dashes forward, so probably stamina. I imagine the fuchsia one is HP. There’s also an icon that appears in between them when he does the fire dash.

Definitely Hyper Light Drifter inspired, which is meant as a compliment, ofc! :)

Yessir. And that is definitely a good place to start...

I'd say it's more than "inspired" by Hyperlight Drifter... it's a near-identical visual aesthetic. Not complaining, I loved Hyperlight Drifter, and obviously so did these devs.

That was made in Godot? Amazing.

Sure buy on day 1.
