Another week has almost finished, it's now the weekend and it's super hot here which means it's time to hide indoors and play games.
For me, it's been a real mix of things recently. With the announcement that EVERSPACE 2 is coming to Linux, I've decided to brush up on my piloting skills in the original. I'm still amazed at how fun EVERSPACE actually is, especially the Action Freeze feature where you can just entirely stop the game to take a picture. Beautiful too, it can result in some awesome shots like this:
Apart from that, Jupiter Hell is another fantastic Early Access game now out on Linux. Already loving everything about it, from the awesome atmosphere to the incredible turn-based action. Although when I'm not looking for something so intense, diving into Dicey Dungeons is always high up on my list.

Started playing The Way which is a mix between the old Impossible Mission (oh, kids memories!) and Another World. Sometimes frustrating but not irritating.
As usual I tested (and will tomorrow) some games under Proton: to my surprise Middle-Heart: Shadow of Mordor finally works under Proton 4.11-2! And it works very well, better than the native port using Mesa!
Though as it turns out that was not a problem at all, I was able to just download, launch, and play through the entire campaign in a single sitting without a single gameplay affecting issue - on the defaulted settings of very high/ultra.
(I had an issue where aircraft would very rarely become invisible during their docking animation, but only when I had my camera in an extreme angle)
A great game, and a really well made entry to the Homeworld series. Though it was noticeable that they hadn't had a very big budget behind it, with a slightly rushed feeling to some of the campaign missions, and a lack of depth in the unit and research trees.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen runs well through Proton and is another game I've got quite into.

Would you recommend Underworld??? Follow this game a while now. But many people say to much bugs.
