Finished the main campaign adventure mode in Distance? Well there's now even more levels for you to try and beat in the latest big update to the fantastic and challenging racing platformer.
The free Horizon Update lands almost a year after it left Early Access. It adds in three new new Refract levels: Liminal, Serenity and Zenith all under Sprint. There's also 18 new Community levels that were officially added into the game across various modes, although most are Sprint. A bunch of UI improvements were made too, especially for the Online menu making it a bit more streamlined.

Creating your own levels just got made more interesting too with new foliage particles, an improved music track selection window, new level editor objects and so on. Additionally, the update as always fixes a bunch of bugs noticed since the last update to the game.
Really is a fantastic experience, the challenge on some levels is insane too. I've spent hours try to improve scores on some levels, only for someone to come along and destroy me again. Some people really do find clever ways to skip bits of the track.
Find Distance on Humble Store and Steam.
Quoting: FaalhaasThe VR experience of Distance is also fantastic. I would recommend using a controller instead of a steering wheel though.
I assume VR is also available in the native game. How have they implemented it for a 3rd person racer?

Yes, VR is available in the native game. When you boot Distance in VR you will sit in the car.

do you have to do anything special to get it to run in VR? I can't get it to work, neither native nor proton -.-

My setup is Arch Linux with Steam Beta Client using Proton 4.11-3.
Would be great if Distance could run VR mode natively... It is a bit buggy on Proton, unlike in some obscure spyware with ads called Windows 10.
Here is the discussion on Steam.
