Hypnospace Outlaw could easily win the award for the strangest game of the year, giving you a retro-futuristic look at the internet and now it's getting bigger.

No More Robots and Tendershoot just recently gave it modding support, so now you can create pretty much anything in it. Webpages, images, wallpapers, soundscapes, entire zones, fonts, characters, file downloads and a huge amount more. They said it's now possible for someone to create their own full Hypnospace story.

Instead of the Steam Workshop, they've gone with the more cross-platform friendly mod.io. With their guides section available here. Mods have already started appearing, like the HypnoQuarium giving you an animated wallpaper and sea creature themed screensaver:

If this is the first you're hearing about it, keep in mind that there is a point to Hypnospace Outlaw. You have a job to do, you're not just clicking around admiring the ridiculous satire as you're there to look out for nasty things like copyright infringement, internet bullying and more. Something like that anyway, it's something you just have to experience, especially if you didn't see the internet in the earlier days.

You can find it on GOG, itch.io and Steam. Looks like the update is only on Steam so far though.
