In Shotgun Farmers when you shoot and miss, your bullets sink into the ground and grow new guns. It's a brilliant idea and it just got a huge update.

With this big update, it introduces a co-op Horde Mode for you and a few others to face off against 50 waves of increasingly difficult zombie farmers and infected animals on a brand new map. That's in addition to the existing team deathmatch, free for all, capture the pig, tournament and other game modes.

In Horde Mode, as you progress through the waves you gradually get access to more weapons growing from specific points after you complete a wave number. With the gameplay Shotgun Farmers offers, it works really well and it's actually pretty amusing. Shotgun Farmers was already a good first-person shooter, now it's even more worth trying out.

Also added in this update are new emotes, achievements, new outfits and badges all of which can be unlocked through playing and levelling up—zero micro-transactions.

Other changes to this content update include a new UI for selecting game modes, updated UI art, an AI that now reacts to weapon and explosion sounds, the Peavolver weapon cylinder is now animated, improved gamepad support and more.

Additionally, the Linux version finally sees the return of fullscreen mode which is much nicer and seems to work fine after playing a few games.

You can buy Shotgun Farmers on Humble Store and Steam.
