Hello Friday, welcome back into our lives. Here's a look at what you can pick up cheap across this weekend and what's free.
First up, Company of Heroes 2 is free to pick up on Steam and keep forever! This deal will last until Sunday, November 17 at 6PM UTC. Relic Entertainment are also giving out the Victory At Stalingrad DLC as a free extra if you join their newsletter. This could mean there's a new one on the way. It has a Linux port from Feral Interactive and it's a huge amount of fun.
Is getting Crusader Kings II permanently free not enough for you? Well Paradox Interactive have made the Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam DLC free to grab and keep forever. You have until November 18 to add it to your Steam account.
As for sales, there's not a huge amount of really good titles going. Every store has only recently had multiple big sales, so the picks are a little thin this week.
Humble Store has a Shadowrun Franchise sale going on, with some great deals on titles like Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director's Cut, Shadowrun: Hong Kong - Deluxe Edition and the others. There's also three days left on the Humble Linux & BSD Bookshelf Book Bundle too.
Steam does have a few treats going cheap like XCOM, XCOM 2, BioShock Infinite, Postal 2 (RWS made it seem like Postal 4 for Linux was likely to come), Iconoclasts and a few other notable titles.
Fanatical have a Pick and Mix do it yourself bundle, letting you pick from one to five and it can give you a few nice Linux games cheap like JYDGE, Pony Island, Robothorium, Tesla vs Lovecraft and so on.
As an update to our previous article on Humble Monthly changing into Humble Choice, they've now set December 6 as the date for the changeover. If you do want a bunch of games each month, the price for new subs on the new system is higher but if you sub now here you keep the cheaper price for it.
Over on GOG, their current Weekend Sale has a couple nice picks. You can grab the classic Theme Hospital to play on the open source CorsixTH engine and the classic X-Com: UFO Defense to play on the open source openXcom engine. GOG also have Grim Fandango Remastered, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, GoNNER, Kingdom: New Lands and more with really good discounts too.
This War of Mine the anti-war survival game from 11 bit had a big free update, along with a huge discount too. More on that can be found here from our earlier article today.
XCOM 2, I've been waiting for a sale on that one for a long time now.
