Porting studio Feral Interactive [Official Site] have already given Linux a lot of games and it sounds like more are coming.

While this year they've already released Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, a Vulkan beta for Shadow of Mordor, Total War: THREE KINGDOMS and DiRT 4 plus big updates/expansions to Company of Heroes 2 and Total War: WARHAMMER II. Still to come is Life is Strange 2, which Feral previously teased to arrive sometime soon.

After that, we already know Feral is porting Total War Saga: TROY but what about more games, is that the end of it for Linux? Going by their replies to people on Twitter, like this one "We may have a few Linux games planned for 2020... ;)" they seem to indicate there may be some surprises for us next year.

That's good news of course, since Steam Play/Proton was an obvious worry that they might stop porting. There's tons of games that are completely broken with Steam Play and plenty that perform really badly that Feral could certainly do their porting magic with. Actual support would be good too and Feral certainly know what they're doing.

What game would you like to see Feral port to Linux and support?

I really hope for them that it is releases from a distributor that's not used them earlier - just for the sake of future range of titles.

But yeah - I'll probably buy it regardless, unless racing or turn based.

PUBG

Cyberpunk 2077.

What I hope to see is Feral getting new contracts because of Stadia that will let them put these builds on desktop Linux.

Let's be realistic - there are only a handful of companies willing to work with Feral, so any wishlists we might come up with would probably need to be content from the usual suspects.

I will be honest - I didn't buy a single game from Feral this year, because the only one they ported that interested me was Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Which got ported a year after the Windows version, so I already had bought it. And no matter what the YOU SHALL NOT BUY WINDOWS GAMES!!! crowd is saying, but I am not waiting a year for a game I am interested in to get ported.

I will take a "let's see what they come up with" stance, for that reason. If they come up with a game that's both interesting to me and released acceptably soon after the Windows version, I will get it. If not, then, well, not.

Honestly, any game that’s not in my steam/gog library. I’d buy it out of principle, comment that the reason why I bought the game was that it had native support. That being said, a game with prohibitive multiplayer software aka anti cheat would be a great option, mainly because these are the only ones you can’t play via proton.

Quite frankly, I doubt The Outer Worlds will ever come to Linux, via Feral or otherwise. Same for Cyberpunk 2077.

Quoting: MohandevirCyberpunk 2077.

With the amount of horsepower, they”re likely to get mostly the multiplayer side of things, because anti-cheat is the ONLY type of game that reliably doesn’t work in Proton or VM.

I'd love to see Outer Worlds or Borderlands 3 ported. But the biggest benefit Feral bring to my table these days is
a) removing EAC restriction or
b) removing Denuvo

I'd still love to play Vermintide 2 (EAC) or Monster Hunter World (Denuvo), Strange Brigade (Denuvo) or Nier: Automata (Denuvo). I own the first title already, which is a blow, but I'll never buy any title "protected" by Denuvo. Ever.

With the exception of Total Wars games though, to be honest, I've bought every title that Feral released. So I guess I'm a shoe-in regardless!
