Quake II RTX updated with a new fancy Photo Mode

Lightspeed Studios and NVIDIA continue advancing Quake II RTX, which seems to be turning into an FPS playground of new features built on the classic game.

Yesterday, patch 1.3.0 went live adding in a fancy Photo Mode. Whenever you pause the game, you get this new mode and it gives you free camera control too. Additionally, they added support for Depth of Field in this mode, support for campaign video cut-scenes is in, a new feature to select the full-screen display was added and more.

This special Photo Mode uses accumulation rendering, so it renders the same frame many times and averages the results to give you a very high quality shot. As you can see in my own takes above.

On top of that, the settings for various sliders now show units such as degrees or percentage and the volume controls are now logarithmic instead of linear. It also now has support for loading map-specific files with sky clusters, which should be useful for custom maps. A crash bug was also fixed during map loading when a custom map has no analytic lights.

Find Quake II RTX on Steam, it's free to try the first few levels and if you buy the standard Quake II it can work with the full content.

I cannot control the camera in the photo mode for some reason.
Also, there is a cell shading option, looks nice.

You have to hold down left mouse button to pan the camera.

This doesn't help. Moreover, when I unpause the game, it performs all the actions caused by key I have pressed while it was paused. For example, I press "pause" (and it pauses), then LMB and W, then I unpause the game, and my character shoots and moves forward.

Sounds like you have a config problem with keybinds somewhere then?

I'm not sure. I just installed the game today, did no tweaking, just rebound few keys (like RMB to jump, Space to crouch).

Is it possible to run this with AMD under Linux?
Only in OpenGL mode.
