Originally starting off as a mobile game in 2014, then coming to PC with a bunch of new features in Out There: Ω Edition back in 2015 the team at Mi-Clos Studio are back.

What is Out There? A space sci-fi award-winning space exploration game blending roguelike, resource management and interactive fiction. There's no combat, just you against the environment.

Released yesterday, The Alliance expansion was originally part of the Nintendo Switch release last year which has now been ported over the the PC version and it's free for all existing owners. A big one too adding in 30 new stories, 3 new ships, 1 new ending, new achievements, new technology, new game mechanics, new artwork for the landscapes and some other updates to the graphics. On top of that most of the "critical bugs should be fixed on all platforms".

The removal of combat definitely set Out There apart from the rest, like a more relaxing version of FTL, focusing instead on the loneliness and hostile nature of space exploration while trying to find your way back home. Travel from system to system, gathering supplies and dealing with any events as they pop up it's quite an adventure to have.

You can pick it up on Steam (80% off) and Humble Store.

I'm a big fan of this game. Own the mobile (Android) and Steam versions. Really happy that it's had a nice content upgrade. The game has a great atmosphere and has plenty of replay value. Survival rogue-like in space.
