One of my absolute favourite action platformers, the "RogueVania" game Dead Cells is getting a first DLC with The Bad Seed and it now has a release date of February 11.

The Bad Seed should keep runs feeling fresh, with two new early-game biomes mixed with a bunch of new enemies and weapons plus "some unseen mechanics and a giant boss". Sounds like everything the game needs once you've played multiple tens of hours in it.

There's also a new gameplay trailer, take a look below:

If you wish to ask the team some questions, they will also be holding a Reddit AMA (Ask me anything) on the release day at 1PM UTC. They didn't say exactly where, so I assume the main Dead Cells sub.

There's also going to be a bundle to buy the game and the DLC together, which will save some monies if you don't have either which is always nice to get a more complete package.

Since I enjoy the game, a lot, which is probably a big understatement I will be taking a look at the DLC so expect a few thoughts on or shortly after the release. You can pick up Dead Cells and the DLC from Humble Store, GOG and Steam.

It's a paid DLC, but they've been pumping the base game full of free content for those past few years. So it's totally fair IMHO.
