Stoneshard: Prologue acts as the demo for the upcoming Early Access release of Stoneshard, a tough turn-based RPG inspired by Diablo and classic roguelikes.

The Prologue demo was originally released back in 2018, while it had an ongoing crowdfunding campaign. Since then, Ink Stains Games have made a lot of progress and it no longer gave an accurate idea of what the game would be like. So the Remastered Prologue was released on December 25, with it today being announced that the Linux version of the remaster is also up.

What's changed? A lot: there's a better tutorial; a reworked health, injury and needs system; more weapons and equipment, proper fullscreen support, some environment items are now destructible, lots of reworked art, new voice overs, an improved interface, plenty of quality of life improvements like better controls, more hotkeys, item comparison, inventory auto-sorting, pop-up hints and more.

It's an exciting look into what we will be getting with Stoneshard. An open-world RPG with plenty of character development, a brutal world and tough tactical battles.

Find Stoneshard: Prologue on Steam now. The main Stoneshard game will enter Early Access on February 6th, the Steam page for that is here.

I gotta give this a fair try. Inspired by Diablo yet turn-based...? Might be good enough to play solo then. I personally don't really care for playing Diablo-like games by myself.

I don't see SteamOS on the store page yet. :(
