Amnesia: Rebirth is the newly announced title from the horror masters at Frictional Games, after teasing it for a few months we finally know what it is.
"In Amnesia: Rebirth, you are Tasi Trianon, waking up deep in the desert of Algeria. Days have passed. Where have you been? What did you do? Where are the others? Retrace your journey, pull together the fragments of your shattered past; it is your only chance to survive the pitiless horror that threatens to devour you."
Some actually expected it would be a return to Amnesia and the whole "I am Tasi, I am still Tasi" teaser sort-of hinted at this. This is actually set in the same world as Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Frictional say this will be another "evolutionary leap" for them and it will challenge players to remain calm in the face of some unimaginable terror. See the announcement trailer below:

- Carefully manage your limited resources, both physical and mental.
- Encounter horrific creatures and use your wits and understanding of the world to escape them.
They will continue their Linux support, with Linux being listed clearly in the platform list on Steam and on their Press Kit too. I also spoke to a member of their team, who said clearly Linux is confirmed. Frictional say it will work across any "Major" 64bit Linux distribution from 2018 onwards. So ensure you're up to date.
You can wishlist and follow Amnesia: Rebirth on Steam.
That's a bummer, will have to wait to wishlist, here's hoping !gol won't let me forget about this one!
Gonna take off a day or two when it releases to pull some good old lights off, headphones on all-nighters to hatefully love the experience again.
This region thing is new. Why is that? Also getting that problem. Come on, Frictional, why discriminate customers?
This is likely not on purpose. Someone mentioned that it usually happens when a dev/publisher has not set the age rating for a specific region. So if someone just notifies Frictional about it, I'm sure they will fix it.
always hated horror movies too.
Not available on your region. Well, gotta fix that Frictional
I sent Frictional a mail about this issue just now (just in case no one else has bothered to), I will let you guys know when/if I get a reply :)
I like the company and I own all their games, but I can't stomach horror so I don't play them. I really wish they would make a game that isn't horror, like maybe a creepy but not scary mystery so that for once I could enjoy their work.
Have you tried SOMA with the Safe Mode enabled? With it you can enjoy almost all the game (and its incredible story) without being harmed by any monster (I say "almost" because the game has some "chase sequences" where you will need to run for your life despite the "Safe Mode"). The story is IMHO more than worth the remaining anxiety! :)

Oh great, I did the same. If I get a reply I'll let you know too :-)

I got a reply from Frictional, and they also wrote this on the Steam forum:
"We have been busy with the announcement, so unfortunately it's not yet available in Brazil due to age ratings.
However we will fix that soon."
