Resolutiion from Monolith of Minds has serious style, and I was genuinely very impressed by the special press demo. Now you can too, as Monolith have opened it up for everyone.

"An old killer escorts a curious AI through chaotic combat, puzzling secrets, and unsettling calm. Explore a fractured future, collecting weird weapons and stories, to piece together the past."

With artwork inspired by Hyper Light Drifter you can see some previous thoughts of my own here. Honestly, I think it's genuinely worth giving a go. It's only a small slice of what to expect of course but gosh—the visuals are just so damn good.

Built with Godot Engine, the team posted on Twitter today that they just wanted to "bring some entertainment to your homes during these times", and with that they're of course talking about the Coronavirus situation.

Find the Resolutiion demo on Steam.

Gave it a whirl cause it looked cool. Very alpha at the moment. Gameplay is there, very stable, but no clear goals or guidelines. Small world to explore and that's about it. Otherwise, it is pretty cool though. The developer seems to like cats. Mechanics and style are fun. Difficult to read the text at the moment.

I tried the demo too, as this game was in my wishlist.

Well, the game is not to my taste... Music is cool, art is okay-ish... but quite confusing. The whole game is a bit confusing too, especially gameplay-wise ("why do the shrooms do...what they do ?" "what's with the cat ?" "where should I go, what should I do next ?")

I removed it from my wishlist, even though I am grateful to the developers for releasing a demo. It is just not for me I guess...
