It's Sunday, it's a lazy day for some and plenty of you are probably playing through your backlog of games.
I've been testing out the Linux beta of the upcoming monster capture game Monster Crown. One that was crowdfunded some time ago, and it's incredibly promising. The developer has been great to chat to and they seem very committed to polishing the Linux build. Still a long road ahead though but a rather unique take on a Pokemon-like that I can't wait to put more time into
Additionally, a fair amount of my time has been spent playing Danger Zone in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Today I saw something quite hilarious actually; someone managed to use their Drone Pilot starting perk, to capture one of the late-game drops coming down and fly it across the map to themselves. First time I've seen someone do that, was a fun surprise. Naturally, I ran after it to attempt to take them down but they had some traps waiting for me. Those jump pads can be a real nuisance, sending me far into the air to come crashing down—dead.

Playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider right now. Figured I would give it a go as a good test of my new GPU. Loving it so far. Gorgeous graphics; good gameplay; not perfect but very good. I recently finished Hostil which was a decent 2D Point and Click.

I played Minetest with the MineClone 2 game on top. :) It's a nice combination, with both still having work to do to offer a similar experience to Minecraft, but they're pretty good already. Gotta love all the free software effort out there! :D

I'm on my way of finishing shadow of the Tomb Raider, not as good as rise of the Tomb Raider IMO but I'm still looking to complete it 100%.
Other than that I tried golf with your friend and shotgun farmer recently, which are ok games, probably way more fun if you don't play them alone.
Even if I have enough games to finish, Black mesa is seriously winking at me.

I've started on GTA 5! And so far so good, I was surprised to see the graphics being quite the same as earlier, not the step it was from 3 to 4. Not that it matters, I much prefer steady framerate to visual bling.

I picked up Black Mesa to add to my ever growing backlog. I was planning on marathoning that when it came out but..
Some friends were successful in getting me back into FF14 and, aside from ReShade no longer working with it for some reason on newer WINE/DXVK, still works just fine and has stolen all of my free time lately. Send help.

Well, since Proton has made playing Dungeons & Dragons Online completely possible, my son and I have begun adventuring together. I know the game is old, by today's standards, but it still holds up and they are still making updates to it. This will have my attention for a while, especially since my son is now of the age that he will enjoy this sort of thing.

Hollow Knight : one last ending to go and I think that I will be done with that game (fights are to technical for me now, I will try more relaxing games for some time)... almost 100 hours (I'm above 100% completion, you can reach the ending in less time) of pure enjoyment! :)

Dirt 4 - I always have at least one racing game I am primarily playing.
Metro 2033 REDUX - I've had this game on my wish list for a long time. With the announcement that Metro Exodus would be coming to Linux, I decided to buy and get started on the series. So far so good, the story is intriguing. The game just crashes sometimes running out of memory when loading new map areas.
Heliborne - This is my current main social game, for when I want to play with others. The game is fun, flying around in various helicopters completing missions.

Exapunks, where u are a newbie hacker and solving problems puzzles. With EXAs (software bots) coding with own computing language. Game has a pdf manuel for coding too.

I'm playing Metro Exodus under Proton: it works like a charm and the game is great. Mixes light open world/survival with lots of stealth action, shooting and an average story. You can think of it like a simplified version of Fallout 3, without all the RPG elements and moral choices. There are side quests, but everything is focused mainly on shooting and advancing the story. Gameplay is very relaxed, there's no need to rush, so you have time to explore, and you need too, to build your equipment.
I'm liking a lot the variety of scenarios: until now I saw dark tunnels, bunkers, deserts, cold swamp. I just started a level into the Taiga. Graphics are very beautiful.

I played Black Mesa, but it's machines stopped working one version before,so I let it sleep for a while.
Now, I played Lennas' Inception with my short ones, it's such a fun game and worth every second I played it. I am so eager to slay all bosses, but as well to solve the side quests - and it is for my casual style gaming completely well balanced (old men like to take it easy)
A full recommendation for Lenna's Inception.

I won Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force through WINE on Friday and I made it half way through Star Trek: Elite Force II on Saturday again through WINE while waiting for my Longhorn to calve. I am still waiting.
First game ran great as expected, but I am having some crackling audio with Elite Force II which I do not recall from when I played it through WINE back in the day. It is hardly crippling just an occasional nuisance.

I've been playing Radiis. It's quite fascinating. In a way it feels like a board game, but you couldn't possibly do it without a computer. Definitely not very much like anything I've ever played before.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War in Proton. Apart from having to set the resolution in the config file, it has been running great, without any crashes or graphics problems. A fun game.
125GB with HD textures makes it the biggest game I've ever installed though, and that's without any extra DLC!
