Got the need for speed? Codemasters might possibly be able to help with that, as they have a new bundle over on Humble Bundle where you pick what games you want.

A good time to complete your racing game collection perhaps, there's quite a few of them here. The way it works is that if you pick at least three, your discount gets bigger. The same happens if you pick 4 and 5 titles with each again giving you a bigger discount in total. There's various DiRT games, lots of F1 titles and others.

Here's what they have that supports Linux in the build you own bundle:

  • DiRT 4
  • DiRT Rally
  • F1 2015
  • F1 2017
  • GRID Autosport
  • Micro Machines World Series
  • Overlord
  • Overlord II

There's multiple other titles, some of which work well in Steam Play Proton.

See the Codemasters: BYOB here.

DiRT4 is SO GOOD... I'm really enjoying it, even on "simulator mode" isn't frustrating as Rally. I loved Dirt 2, but didn't like dirt 3. Dirt 4 is a proper sequel to 2.

If you want to buy some games to play on proton, must be aware that some games uses a specific DRM that proton can't "bypass". F1 Race Stars is one of them, it's the only game that I want to play but I can't.

Anyone knows if one of those Racing games come with an in-build VR mode?
If so, is it worth it?

Thanks. :)

I know right, I really don't get the problem people have with DiRT 4, thought it was great fun.

DiRT Rally gives me the same anxiety as driving a real car. That's how you know it's good.

Promises I suppose. The suggested that it would have an option to get the same level of physics as Dirt Rally. But that was not the case and Dirt Rally players were obviously disappointed.

Bought a Logitech G29 because of your driving videos from many months ago and Dirt 4 runs really well on my old GTX 970. Also, American and Eurotruck Simulator 2 are a bizarrely zen experience for anyone who needs a low stress escape right about now.

On a related note, maybe you or Sin stream some Dirt 4? Eh?

yep been playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 a lot lately... my brain is overloaded with the covid19 news.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is great. I am planning to visit my hometown during the Easter holidays.
