Streets of Rage 4 is a classic beat 'em up series revived thanks to Dotemu, Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube that releases today. It's also going to be playable on Linux.
While it won't currently offer official support from the development team for Linux, it appears they have given their backing to Valve and CodeWeavers for Steam Play Proton—the compatibility layer for Linux based on Wine. On Twitter, Valve developer Pierre-Loup Griffais mentioned that the Streets of Rage 4 developers actually provided pre-release keys for Proton development. Thanks to that, Streets of Rage 4 will work "out of the box" with Proton 5.0-7 which is currently in Release Candidate stage and you can opt into it now.

On a related note, Streets of Rage 4 actually uses the cross-platform FNA according to the creator and Linux porter Ethan Lee on Twitter, so perhaps in future full Linux support might still be a possibility.

I imagine I'm not the only one here who had Streets of Rage as one of their first beat 'em up games, it's an absolute classic series. I have some seriously fond memories of playing the original on the Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) so having it working on Linux right away is quite a highlight.
You will be able to pick up Streets of Rage 4 later today from Humble Store and Steam.
See our dedicated page here for more info on Steam Play.
Quoting: M@GOidThe price of this game is very high here in Brazil. How much it is in the US?Currently $22.49 on Steam with a 10% discount, but there's no price listed on Humble yet. Google says that equates to 122.34 in Brazilian real. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know that's what your currency is called.

No need to be ashamed. I for one have no idea what is the currency of the majority of Brazil's neighbors...
Brazil is one of those countries where Valve do a price reduction relatively to the US Dollar conversion, because selling games at full price would drive people to piracy.
I asked because I thought the price was higher than what this type of game generally cost around here. It didn't help that our currency dropped in value more than 30% since the world pandemic started.

Region-specific prices are actually set by the developers/publishers themselves on a per country basis manually.

That's not true. Regional prices are set automatically (based on some base USD price), but you as a developer/publisher can surely adjust any of them as you like.
Quoting: ageresI've beaten the whole game, it works fine except for too long loading. I tried local co-op with two gamepads, it works too.
Long loading on STEAM or GOG version? I've had no issues with loading. Been playing with my wife and some of my kids. Going to try online via of Parsec on Saturday night with some friends.

With this kind of thing, in my opinion, we're killing the porters. It's one thing to use proton in games that will never be ported, it's another to defend its use in games that could easily have native support.

Wait, the GOG version lacks the online mode?

Yeah it lacks an online mode for all platforms via of the GOG version. I personally don't mind since I don't do online much but I am doing it now due to the pandemic.
