Just like with Planetfriend, we're continuing to highlight a few smaller experimental and outright weird games and another recent discovery is Dwellers of the Gut.
The idea is that your townsfolk have been swallowed up by a giant, so what else can you do but jump down their throat and attempt to find them? Once you save them, they become available in the Hub area for a chat. It's got a pretty outrageous style, one I can't help but laugh at.

Developed by Daniel Ferguson, who made a few other bizarre games like the hilarious looking Hand Headed Hooligan. Worth checking out more by Ferguson if you like things a little on the different side. As far as prototypes go, this is one I could easily see being expanded into a bigger experience.
It's got style, and an amusing if slightly gross idea about running through guts.
Some funky tunes to go with it too from Rupert Cole, which nicely rounds off the experience. Find Dwellers of the Gut free on itch.io.
Seems like it's Unity's HLSL->GLSL transpiler at its best again...
However you can still get the game running with decent FPS by running it with "-force-vulkan"
