Another week down, most of us are still in lockdown with the Coronavirus and there's plenty of time to play games. Playing games can be a truly wonderful way to get your mind off everything too!

Personally, I've been very surprised by Iratus: Lord of the Dead which recently left Early Access with added Linux support. The mix of party-building from body parts, with reverse dungeon crawling as you're trying to escape is quite a wonderful. It's quickly become my new go-to game for a few rounds, replacing Slay the Spire. Apart from that, jumping into a few rounds in PUBG on Stadia (article info - see video) has proven quite fun.

Over to you in the comments!

What have you been playing recently on Linux and what do you think about it? What's tickling your fancy this weekend?

Playing Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Resistance and after having played Shadow of the Tomb Raider at launch back on Windows, I am playing it again since somehow my save from Windows is gone.

It has been a long time since the game released so I can finally replay the game again on the Linux port.

Destiny 2, all day long. Not sure how to make it stop.

Oh, and the funny thing is Destiny was for me "one of those games" tied to Windows that I knew I'll never play and didn't cared about...until I tried it on Stadia. Now it got me sucked into it, totally.

Gratz! I upgraded this week from the RX 580 to the RX 5700 XT.

Why did he sold his 2 week old GPU?

I hope to get back to playing Iratus: Lord of the Dead this weekend.

I have really enjoyed playing this turn-based roguelike role playing game where you take on the role of The Lord of the Dead leading your undead minions into battle with the humans. Liam wrote a great review of the game here.

After over twelve hours of play time and many hours watching Let's Play episodes on YouTube, I feel as though I am just starting to get familiar with the beautiful interface, the complex mechanics and the fantastic builds that the game has to offer.

Bridge Constructor Portal. Nice game to play for an hour and leave it when there's no time, easy to come back to. Not great, but good. Lacks some polish.

I've been beating my head against Filament mostly this week, for that sweet sweet dopamine hit from finally figuring out a new puzzle…though Noita also came out with a big new update…and I really want to get back to playing XCOM: Chimera Squad…the release of which interrupted my playthroughs of XCOM 2, Stellaris with the Federations expansion, and Cities: Skylines with the Sunset Harbor expansion…

Meanwhile my sister's complaining about being stuck at home and not having enough to do. I just don't get non-gamers. :P

Quoting: MrNilssonI'm going to play Planet Zoo and some CS:GO this weekend.
Do you mean playing Planet Zoo on Linux? (And if so, how?) I've been interested in it since it was announced, but it's been listed as borked on ProtonDB since release, though I just checked and see two positive reports.

Bought Halo Master Chief Collection 3 weeks ago! They've remastered Halo Reach which was the first to be released in the collection and it looks and runs great on Proton! I finished it two weeks ago.

Halo CE was also remastered, but the remastering is still basically using the 20yr old game engine so it is looking a bit dated, but geez, the Halo ring top-level and the internal dungeon areas have been really "re-worked" and look magnificent!
heres a youtube vid showing the difference... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXfBNYHzVZA

The MCC will release up to Halo 4 throughout the year. Halo 2 Anniversary addition is getting remastered "again!" and will be released this month as part of MCC. So if you own MCC it will automatically download.

Halo MCC Remaster includes:
1) Halo Reach - Released
2) Halo CE - Released
3) Halo 2 Anniversary Ed - Releases this month
4) Halo 3 - Pending this year
5) Halo 3 ODST - Pending
6) Halo 4 - Pending

1 and 2 above works perfectly at least on Proton 4.11-13 with mesa 19.2.8 with R9-290X out of the box!
I can't use the newer Proton with my type of card until I upgrade to mesa 20.x apparently according to Kisak from Valve.

With both games it never went below 60 fps running on the enhanced (remastered) setting. It ran smoothly!
You can toggle the original and remastered to compare using TAB key while playing to see the huge difference.

I'm really impressed with Proton and the remaster!

Is the multiplayer working in the Master Chief Collection now? I heard it wasn't working because of Easy Anti-Cheat. Either way I'll probably pick it up anyway.
