Looks like the June 2020 Humble Choice is a pretty good one filled with some highly rated games. Time to take a quick look over what's on offer.

Humble Choice (prev Humble Monthly) is a curated bundle that changes each month. You pick a tier with different prices to get access to the huge Humble Trove (a collection of DRM-free games) plus a Humble Store discount and then you pick between 3-9 games to keep. This month you can pick from (bold titles support Linux):

  • Barotrauma
  • Overload
  • Remnants of Naezith
  • Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones
  • Supraland
  • Felix the Reaper
  • GRID - Ultimate Edition
  • Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice (works with Steam Play)
  • Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - Warchest Edition
  • The King's Bird
  • The Messenger + Soundtrack (works with Steam Play)
  • The Stillness of the Wind (works with Steam Play)

Of the titles that support Linux there, it's a damn fine selection and the others verified to work well with Steam Play Proton are good too.

This month there's also the Humble Original, Before I Forget, a first-person narrative adventure about a woman with dementia which also supports Linux. Humble Originals are smaller new games that at the time are only available through Humble Choice (usually release everywhere later).

If you're interested, check out the Humble Choice here.

This might well be my first pause.

Second pause in a row for me too.
Instead, I'm going to buy a native Steam game on sale.

hmm my third pause :( Hellblade was last year i think already in a humble and the rest is boring :(

It looks like a really solid selection for the price, if someone is interested in some of the games. The problem is, I'm not. :( Hellblade looks interesting. And it was never cheaper than 10 EUR, so getting it in such a bundle seems like an awesome deal. The problem is, I didn't play a single game from last 2 bundles I got, because they looked kind of interesting but I was not really eager to play them and I think it would be just like that with current bundle, so I guess I will pause.

Also, I see having classic plan is not worth it, if someone is playing on Linux. Simply, there are never 10 games in bundle working well on Linux. Now it's 8.

Same. I think multiple games have been in Monthly already.

Pretty happy with the bundle myself. Overload and Stygian were on my wishlist. Happy to get Barotrauma, Remnants, and Supraland too.

The King's Bird should also work with proton, but some performance issues

The comments here... there seem to be some real hidden gems in this one and the AAA titles are also not too bad. And yes I own some of these already, but as long as there are 2-3 titles in it the low price is worth it.

I pause Humble choice a lot, but this time probably not.

not a bad selection, but i already have most of the interesting once...so another pause ^^

Any time I go to pause Humble Choice, I have to admit, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the £9 I'm about to save. It's always an insane number of games for so little money. So it boils down to, for me, whether I could get a single game in the Choice for that £9. In this month's choice, that game is Barotrauma (normally £12), even though I already own quite a few of the others.

I mean, Remnants of Naezith looks superb too, like Speedrunners, but with prettier graphics, and I like the look of Stygian too. There's also King's Bird, which looks stunning, like Gris had a baby with Dustforce. So yeah. No pause for me this month, despite owning quite a few of the other titles.

I have paused for 5 months, finally a good bundle for me. Supraland is coming out with a big DLC soon and I have been looking forward to playing the main game. Plus Overload looks really different and I might have to bust out my joystick to play it.
Supraland will end Linux support very soon. At least it runs OK with Proton.

Today I removed my credit card on my Humble account, because it expired, and added new one. I was surprised to see that Humble automatically cancelled my Humble Choice subscription when I removed my old credit card. And so my Classic plan is gone! Don't make same mistake. :) I didn't expect that updating credit card info will cancel my subscription. Actually, after pausing, I wanted to unpause to get Choice, even that I don't fancy game selection, to simply support nice idea. I guess I won't be doing it now, when my Classic is gone.

I trust you've contacted their customer service and explained the matter. Humble have always resolved things for me.

BTW I received today an email:

Interesting deal, but honestly, I'd prefer to keep the option to pause.

I guess Humble recalculated everything and don't think it's good idea to let people pause all the time. Well, they need steady income to be able to negotiate as good deals as possible.

Yay, it took some time but my Classic is back, Humble support helped me. The weird thing is that according to this page: https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/217300087-Humble-Choice-Payment-information#Changing-Payment-Information I should get a warning that I will unsubscribe if I remove the only available payment method. And I'm quite (but not entirely) sure I didn't get any warning, I just clicked "remove" next to expired credit card and that was it, site reloaded with no warning. For sure I didn't want to unsubscribe, so I don't know how I could click that "remove payment and unsubscribe" warning button. Anyway, I didn't really expect to get Classic back so I'm really happy with support help. :)
