Cassette Beasts is the in-development title from Bytten Studio (previously Lenna's Inception), which is an open-world monster capture / transformation RPG inspired by Pokemon Fusion.
Being made in Godot Engine, it's a very promising looking game with a fun take on the monster capture genre with the spin that you transform into these creatures using retro cassette tapes. Confirmed to be supporting Linux and Windows at release, check out some of their latest teaser footage showing some open world exploration:

Seems like Cassette Beasts is going to be quite an interesting one, with such a charming graphical style. Love that it's a 3D world that you interact with, moving things around to get to higher places along with transforming to glide across longer distances.
Feature Highlight:
- Monster collecting RPG with turn-based battles
- Transform into monsters
- Fuse any two monsters
- Open world exploration
- Character creation
- Six NPC companions with their own storylines
- Local co-op
You can follow Cassette Beasts on Steam and see the official site here. There's no current release date or priced announced and it seems like they're still looking for funding and publishing partners.
