Currently in development by Kenney, Frick, Inc. looks pretty hilarious making you drive little trucks across various courses but this comes with a big twist on the controls.
Instead of using a gamepad or a wheel, you're using in-game on-screen controls. Kenney mentioned that "each truck has a different control method and it's all made to be Frick, Inc. frustrating until you master it."—Frick, Inc. frustrating, hah, at least it's an honest description.
- Easy to learn, extremely hard to master – You'll be switching between trucks (and control methods) in levels to perform a list of tasks.
- Extra challenge in each level – Each of the levels has an extra challenge, only for those daring enough to go the extra mile.
Today, September 2, Kenney announced on Twitter that it will be available for Linux as well as Windows. Looks and sounds like it's going to be quite amusing. Great idea.
Not heard of Kenney? They regularly release free (public domain) game assets for developers to use, they also support Linux with their Asset Forge kit-bashing application and they just recently released their free game Techium Eclipse for Linux too. They also recently announced they're ditching macOS support for future projects, and they will be extending their Linux support just like with this.
You can follow Frick, Inc. on itch.io. It's due out later this year.
