Humble's curated monthly selection of games for subscribers is up now with the September 2020 Humble Choice and there's a number of nice games inside.
Humble Choice (prev Humble Monthly) is a curated bundle that changes each month. You pick a tier with different prices to get access to the huge Humble Trove (a collection of DRM-free games) plus a Humble Store discount and then you pick between 3-9 games to keep. Until October 2, Premium / Classic level subscribers get to keep all of them.
Here's the choices, with those emphasised that support Linux and notes about others possible with Steam Play Proton:
- Golf With Your Friends + Caddypack DLC + Soundtrack
- Lethal League Blaze
- Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York
- Evoland Legendary Edition
- Forager - they sadly removed Linux support, but it works with Steam Play proton
- Strange Brigade - works with Steam Play Proton if you rename bin/StrangeBrigade_Vulkan.exe to StrangeBrigade.exe
- Generation Zero - should work with Steam Play Proton
- Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair - works with Steam Play Proton
- The Occupation - works with Steam Play Proton, but for cut-scenes you may need the Proton GE fork.
These three below may work with Proton GE, otherwise it's black screens but they need more testing:
- Catherine Classic
- The Shapeshifting Detective
- Fun with Ragdolls: The Game
If you're interested in any of that, you check out the Humble Monthly here.
As a reminder you can also find games like We. The Revolution, Radio Commander, Elite Dangerous and more in the Humble Super Simulation Bundle. Plus there's also the Humble 1C Publishing Bundle which has some serious gems like Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones and Deep Sky Derelicts.
On the other side, I'd need to use Proton to play the majority of the games here, some titles are very multi-player centric (I prefer single player), and there isn't much which really draws me in.
Do I pause-a-month or do I claim it, hmmm?
If you only want native Linux games, I could see how this might be a disappointing month. But personally, except for the month that had CoD WWII, Crash, and Spyro, I don't think I have been interested in quite so many games from one of these monthly bundles.
Now whether I truly like any of them is another matter - but for $12, I'll take the risk that one or two pan out.
Quoting: KimyrielleLast month was kinda disappointing, for almost no game supported Linux and the selection was meh overall. The only reason I got that month is because I forgot to pause my sub. This month seems to be much better!
I remembered to pause in time (they made it harder to find now!), but I was curious how it works if you don't... do you get to pick your selections at any time in the future, or is there some timeout where eventually you get nothing you haven't claimed?

I think your choices never expire. Which means you get all 12 games of August, even if you don't claim them anytime soon.
Publishers and indie studios alike are no longer willing to cannibalize their long-term sales for the sake of quick gains. The era of great gaming deals has passed, sadly.
