Google have launched multiple new games on the game streaming service Stadia, with plenty available free if you have a Stadia Pro subscription. All of which, are available to play on Linux in a Chromium-based browser.

Just released today is Marvel Avengers, which Stadia has a 'Timed-Limited Deluxe Edition' for giving you early access from right now September 1. This special edition is only available until September 4, when the standard cheaper edition releases on Stadia and other platforms.

As a reminder GRID, Kona and Get Packed have left Stadia Pro, so you now have to buy them on Stadia as normal. You can see the full list of current claimable Stadia Pro games here.

Other recent Stadia launches include (some in Pro, some not): DOOM, HITMAN 2, PGA Tour 2K21, Relicta, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, Spiritfarer, Strange Brigade, SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete, Windbound. More to come in future including Baldur's Gate 3, Serious Sam 4, Watch Dogs: Legion, WWE 2K Battlegrounds and so on. Quite a busy year for Stadia as it builds up a healthy selection of titles new and old.

Upcoming this week is a Free Weekend, or 'Free Play Days' as they like to call it, for The Crew 2. This lets Stadia Pro subscribers play The Crew 2 free from September 3 to the end of September 6.

On top of new launches, if you missed it they also rolled out an upgrade for audio settings. You can now adjust sliders for max volume, game audio and voice chat independently. More seems to by coming too, according to 9to5Google who scrape updates it looks like soon Stadia will get a proper messenger system, UPlay+ subscription and other new features.

Blizzard has Activision releases, Steam gets EA subscriptions plans, and now Stadia is gonna have UPlay subscriptions ?

This is quite a mess of an ecosystem, hopefully projects such as Lutris will soon be really useful as Linux gets better supported on different platforms.
