With all the issues surrounding Lab Zero Games and the owner Mike Zaimont, after most of the team left and the rest were let go - 505 Games have given a statement.

Their statement concerns Indivisible, since Lab Zero are basically no more the publisher was forced to clarify what will happen to it. In short: it's finished. In the statement on Steam they confirmed that "apart from content that is already in submission, there will unfortunately be no more production on the game". This means the planned Guest Characters and Backer-created characters will no longer be coming.

In a further post on their own website which has an FAQ, it confirmed that Indivisible will continue to be sold and will not be removed from stores. This extra post also mentions that the IP holder for "at least one of the guest characters has backed out and we expect more will follow" - so it seems even if they wanted to do them, they can't.

Such a huge shame, I thought Indivisible was genuinely great and it was one of my highlights from 2019.

You can pick up Indivisible from Humble StoreGOG and Steam if you wish.

Aside from some crossover characters and other such fluff, was anything missing in the game? I thought it released in a finished state, with all this other stuff just being extras.

That was my impression as well. The only problem if it's not updated at all is it's going to stop working sooner or later.

Honestly I couldn't give a damn about Indivisible, they had the "brilliant" idea of offering exclusive skins depending on where you bought the game > Steam got unique skins / GOG got unique skins. The game also featured pre-order exclusives, not made available post release.

I'm glad I didn't buy the game to support such practices.

That's the case will nearly all games, though. However, Linux users do have a way of resurrecting older software!

Heh, I've set up a virtual machine with Ubuntu 8.04 with the sole purpose of running 4 of Grubby Games' games. Among those is Professor Fizzwizzle, a game I bought in 2005(!). I got tired of ubuntu's 32bit compatibility libraries breaking their sound support at every new release.

Any skins I got in the game were simple color swaps, nothing really worth thinking about. Even if there are some better ones somewhere it’s all just superficial fluff.

Did they ever fixed the characters that didn't had an Iddhi special? I haven't played the game since release.

So I'm curious - if the company is no more, who is getting the money from purchases (considering they're leaving the game in stores)?

I'm guessing 505 Games (the publisher), the one that closed was the developer (Lab Zero Games)
