While it's true that World of Warcraft doesn't support Linux, it has been playable on Linux for years thanks to the Wine compatibility layer and it appears even sorting addons is now a breeze.

I don't personally play WoW, however, I am aware of just how popular the addon scene is for this MMO and how WoW continues to have plenty of Linux players. Recently, I came across an open source tool called WowUp, which is a "World of Warcraft addon updater" and it has quite an impressive feature list.

Not only is it open source with a Linux version, I've also been shown by our livestreamer just how easy it is to use with WoW and Wine together. Our livestreamer usually shies away from setting things up and she had no issues using it, which is partly thanks to it having a nice clear interface.

Being able to search, install and update directly within WowUp is pretty slick. On the GitHub page, the developer mentioned they created it as a direct result of Twitch "giving the Curse addon client to yet another company" so they wanted to "create something the community can believe in".

Check it out on WoWUp.io. If you're also looking to try and play WoW on Linux with Wine, perhaps one less item to dual-boot Windows over then try out the installer with Lutris.

I use SexyMap. You can have a square map with this.

It's not this addon on screenshot but it did what you need.

I recently discovered this addon as well. I used Strongbox before, but this one is good as well. it has a AppImage so it took no setting up at all.

Wonderful updater and also a tool where you can search for addons in the app!

I just reinstalled it which coincides well with a free weekend: https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcraft-free-weekend/
However, I will just use Strongbox ( https://github.com/ogri-la/strongbox / https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/strongbox/ ) which used to be Wowman, had no problems with that one.

There is also Ajour (https://github.com/casperstorm/ajour), it's written in Rust and has Linux builds

And CurseBreaker (https://github.com/AcidWeb/CurseBreaker), in Python, works on Linux and is a CLI tool (and works even faster than on windows)
