Need more casual arcade racers? Neon Wings: Air Race is a colourful sci-fi air racer currently available in Early Access and they recently hooked up a Linux build. Originally released in November 2020, the Linux build came in mid-December.
"Neon Wings: Air Race is an adrenaline-filled fast-paced air racing game packed with a cart-game like skill system, spectacular effects and graphics, innovative gameplay mechanics, and good old fun!"

Current features:
- 3 axis controled ships! You can move around freely, the sky is the limit!
- 11 levels - Open environments for taking your own shortcuts
- 12 unique ships with upgrade system
- 3 single player game modes: tournament, time trial, and single race
- Personal upgradable hangar, where you can walk around your ships to admire them
- Competitive AI with difficulty settings
- Player progress is checked
- Local save system working
- 4 music tracks
Since it's currently in development and not finished, they have plenty of plans. They're currently investigating multiplayer, reversed levels, new game modes, more music, better controller support and more. They're estimating being in Early Access for around 4 - 8 months.
You can find Neon Wings: Air Race in Early Access on Steam.
Quoting: LinasIt's a REALLY early version from what I have seen. Controller support is partial at best, menus are clunky, and my ship would just randomly fall into the abyss right at the start without any explanation of what is happening or what I should be doing.
Hy Linas!
The game ostly made in free time, after work. Two of us working on it. Sadly we have no budget for a bigger testing team, so we are using our players for that. That can cause a situation like this where you can find bugs we never ever experienced in the last year :D
So can I ask you to make a video about this bug? "my ship would just randomly fall into the abyss right at the start" I just cannot reproduce it. Which version of the game are you playing?
About the menus are clunky with controller, that's my part of the development. Somewhere the button order not comfortable, or what you mean by this? I want to improve it, so with more information I can go forward! ;)
Also you are more than welcome on our discord, where you can tell us any bug you find and we will fix that as soon as possible! We had a little holidays pause in the last two weeks, but from January 2. we will continue the work and the polishing fixing bugtracking! ;)

Quoting: fubenalvoGood luck with your game fubenalvo, I will certainly pick it up.
If you have split screen planned then that's an extra for me, mostly play these games with friends.
