A new promising building tycoon sim has entered the race why Sky Haven from developer Real Welders, so far it seems to be quite promising too.

Keeping in mind that it only released on November 25, it already has a "Very Positive" user rating on Steam from close to 200 reviews so it seems Real Welders are onto something here. It was originally funded on Kickstarter, where the developer managed to pull in about $60,000 in late 2019 so it's good to see it now available.

Features:

  • Build - Start your process by carefully planning out wide spaces inside the terminal. Continue on with a thinking through the layout of the airport apron, make smart taxiway networks by connecting aircraft stands with runways. And build the rest of the airport in all other areas of management like Check-in counters, security checks, boarding gates, etc.
  • Manage - Count your funds carefully. You will need to buy a lot of merchandise and equipment for your airport. Everything from all sorts of interior services to vehicles and buildings, such as check-in officers, ramp agents, buses, aircraft stairs, ATC tower, jet bridges and much much more. Even the smallest conveniences for your passengers like seats for sitting cost money. Otherwise that сomplainants decrease your rating because they could not buy a hot dog.
  • Develop - Start with very basic services. Research and improve. Attract domestic and international airlines. Prepare for the big planes and huge passenger traffic.
  • Choose - Make your own airport. Focus on discounters or make international hub. Remote ramps or bridged? Charters or regular flights. Big or small aircrafts? Domestic passengers or connected flights? It's your decision, your rules.

They want to release in full in 2021 but they have no set date, other than ensuring that the game is playable up until the modern day. The current build available is playable from at least 1916 to 1970, which covers many different types of planes from the first wooden craft up to the first lot of jet airliners.

You can find Sky Haven on Steam in Early Access.
