Ion Fury, the old-school first-person shooter developed by Voidpoint and published by 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment is getting a big full expansion named Aftershock. Releasing this Summer, Aftershock will offer a new "Arrange" game mode which offers up "enhanced with new enemies, weapons and more" good for first time players and returning players alike.

After defeating Heskel in her previous adventure, Shelly Harrison decides to celebrate at a local bar. When explosions interrupt her tasty beverage, she rushes out to find Heskel in a monstrous flying machine, cackling madly as he rockets away toward a mushroom cloud on the horizon.
Instinctively, she reaches for her Loverboy revolver, cocks it, and searches for the fastest transportation she can find - a sleek and powerful high-speed Hover Bike, armed with Drunken Homing Plasma Missiles. Shelly's fight against Heskel continues with multiple brand-new zones to explore, new dangerous enemies, new armaments to destroy them with, and some amazing high-speed vehicle combat.
"Aftershock continues Shelly’s story in the best way possible: with rockets and high-speed chases," said Mike Nielsen, CEO of 3D Realms. "We love seeing the Build engine continue to grow and Ion Fury: Aftershock does some awesome things that we can’t wait to share with you."
Quoting: WJMazepasI really loved this game. Last year was the first time i played Duke Nukem and Ion Fury and really enjoyed both of then so now i want to try every FPS made on this engineOnce you run out of the "official" games, I can recommend The AMC TC a lot.
A fan-made total conversion with some custom features, 9 playable characters (yes, really) and some pretty decent to good maps.

There's also the Duke Nukem Forever mod (not to be confused with the game of the same name) and its DLC. Its author went on to work on this very Ion Fury expansion :)
My only issue with the DNF mod is that it requires a specific (2013-old) version of EDuke32 to run properly. It's easier to run the provided executable via WINE than to try compiling an old EDuke32 version specifically for it.

There were tons of games made with the Build engine, but honestly almost all of them were garbage. The exceptions were Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, Blood, and Redneck Rampage (unless someone knows something I missed).
Ion Fury looks up to date, and the Build Engine allows lower spec PC to play with no issues.
