AMD has today revealed their next graphics card powered by the RDNA 2 architecture with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, which they say is aimed at the "gaming enthusiast looking for maximum settings at 1440p and high-refresh competitive gameplay".

Here's the comparison for you against the other models:

Price $479 $579 $649 $999

It will go available on March 18, with a price around $479. They mentioned how on day-1 they will be launching their own reference cards on their official store, plus their partners including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE and XFX will also have their cards available and various online stores will also be stocking them all on release day. Hopefully then, they won't see as many stock issues as we've seen with previous new releases from both AMD and NVIDIA.

Don't want to build your own system? AMD expect various OEMs to get building with them "in the coming months". They mentioned "more than 40" system builders are expected to launch systems with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.

AMD also said to expect more RX 6000 laptops to be announced "soon".

AMD hardware is great but their drivers are below average. I wish they could fix their drivers so I could finally move away from NVidia.

If you use mesa, it seems that has been improving in recent years.
And look the performance on the new cards on linux.

Another GPU you can buy at the low price of 400% of whatever it actually should be.

It's really crazy out there, just had a look at what a RX 6800 would cost. Easily 3x the official price...

Given that the absolutely cheapest RX 6800 XT i could find locally ( ASUS Radeon RX 6800 TUF Gaming OC HDMI 3xDP 16GB ) retails for the equivalent of $970 ( in stock absolutely nowhere )
This would be retail for the equivalent of $716 ( ~600€ ) which is a good 200€ more than I'm willing to spend on a graphics card - I really hope this isn't the "affordable" RX 6000 card AMD have been teasing

Why is the power rating so high given its about 33% less performant that the 6800? You'd think it would be no more that 200W! Seems RNDA, despite AMD's claims, is struggling to efficiently scale down which does not bold well for their laptop range. Perhaps this is why the APU's still use Vega. Though I wouldn't be concerned about noise with a good cooler (which you should expect at that price point.) Most of the 6800 series card seem to run almost silent under load. Not so great for smaller cases though.

Not for me, I'm more looking for something in the range < 150 W. Well, I don't have mich time to play anyway, and when I do, I prefer 2D for some reason, so don't mind me.

Since the 6700 XT has much higher clocks & probably runs closer to the limit, it simply should be the less efficient card. But this doesn't say anything about the architecture, raw performance (12,4 TFlops vs 13,9 TFlops) & the comparisons with nVidia suggests the 6700 XT is pretty close to the 6800. The 6700 XT should at least reach the performance of the RTX 3060 Ti (about 15% slower than the 6800). If this is true then it scales pretty well, but we need actual benchmarks for anything conclusive.

Quoting: Ehvis
Quoting: ZlopezI just hope there will be any available with the crypto miners going crazy.

If only AMD could do something to the drivers to make it uninteresting for miners.

(sorry, couldn't resist )
With open source drivers, any attempt to nerf mining on the driver-level could easily be undone, couldn't it?
