AMD has today revealed their next graphics card powered by the RDNA 2 architecture with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, which they say is aimed at the "gaming enthusiast looking for maximum settings at 1440p and high-refresh competitive gameplay".

It will go available on March 18, with a price around $479. They mentioned how on day-1 they will be launching their own reference cards on their official store, plus their partners including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, SAPPHIRE and XFX will also have their cards available and various online stores will also be stocking them all on release day. Hopefully then, they won't see as many stock issues as we've seen with previous new releases from both AMD and NVIDIA.
Don't want to build your own system? AMD expect various OEMs to get building with them "in the coming months". They mentioned "more than 40" system builders are expected to launch systems with the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
AMD also said to expect more RX 6000 laptops to be announced "soon".

It will be even better if they introduced cards without graphical output that will be specialized for mining and costing less than gaming GPUs.
NVIDIA already started doing this, but the mining cards aren't out yet and have worse performance than GTX 3080. So we will see if they would at least be cheap, so the miners would go for the mining cards instead of gamer cards.

I twigged to that a little later (too many specs to see these days!
). This might mean if you drop it a few MHz then you might be able to drop the voltage a fair bit and get some sizeable drops in watts. Hopefully then the 6700 vanilla will be sub-200 watts. Though I just want a sub-$300 card that is double the performance of an RX 480 after 5 bloody years!

That is why I linked that video in the comment above Yours.
1) The market prices are a result of limited supply. Using their lithography volume for mining chips reduces supply for gaming cards, and thus increases prices, just like miners buying gaming cards. Even if the mining chips are salvaged, it means there will be no salvaged lower cost gaming cards like gtx 3050, again reducing the supply to the gamers.
2) When the mining boom ebbs, there will be no cheap second hand mining cards on the market for gamers. The mining cards will be electronic waste (the people complaining about power draw by mining should look at that!), and NV will not be in price competition like in Turing times. WE otoh will not be able to get cheap lightly used cards next year. Thanks!
TL;DR: It would be nice if something was done about the current market situation, but the only interest that is served by NVidias way is NVidias, not ours.
