Raylight Games / Yippee! Entertainment and Kalypso Media have today announced the release of Commandos 2 - HD Remaster for Linux after waiting over a year since the original release.

In their press email, Kalypso were keen to point out their "long-standing history of supporting Mac and Linux versions of its games, including heavy hitters Tropico 6, Dungeons 3, Sudden Strike 4 and the recently released Spacebase Startopia." which was nice to see mentioned.

That's good news, but i see reviews are not good.
This version seems to be censored... bad.
Would you happen to have a list or a link of things censored in this game?
Its seems that all enemies symbols (german, japanese) are removed and not replaced by anything (swastikas, iron cross, Japanese Imperial symbols)
Animations of burning ennemies are removed too.
No changes in gameplay, but very disappointing (the dev has said it was to not break the law on different countries, but... its not a viable argument, since these symbols are allowed in representation of historical events all over the world).
One country have banned this symbols: Germany, but it's not the case anymore (since 2018) in this context.
Wow, that is so completely unnecessary. This is just me guessing, but they probably didn't want to make and maintain two separate versions of the game - censored and uncensored - so they just made the latter and called it a day.
This is what they have said, but everybody is angry because they could only have one uncensored version without any problem regarding laws...
