Valve has put out a major upgrade for their popular free to play MOBA with Dota 2 getting Dawnbreaker. This brand new hero is focused on melee, with a low-skill entry level so it should be suitable for a lot of players. You can see a dedicated hero page for Dawnbreaker here.

"Dawnbreaker shines in the heart of battle, happily crushing enemies with her celestial hammer and healing nearby allies. She revels in hurling her hammer through multiple foes and then converging with it in a blazing wake, always waiting to tap her true cosmic power to fly to the aid of her teammates — eager to rout her enemies on the battlefield no matter where they are."

A bunch of map updates came with this update too including: moving outposts to stand more prominently in the primary jungle, moving ward cliffs, and adjusting the positioning of neutral camps and various paths around the map.

Plenty of other gameplay updates came along for the ride too like the tree respawn interval reduced from 5 to 3 minutes, buyback costs reduced, courier respawn time reduced, Hoodwink added to Captains Mode, you now only get 1 teleport scroll at the start and you gain 1 when you die and there's also now a Water Power Rune that will restores 100 health and 80 mana when used plus more misc adjustments.

See the full update page for more, there's a lot of smaller balance changes that came with the 7.29 update too

That is one huge update. It's a bit staggering to think about the work and balancing that goes into something like that.

If anybody's up for mainly playing Turbo with someone a little more than 100 hours into the game, still trying to get a grip on it, hit with a DM.
