No wine-ing about the puns please. Jokes aside, the tasty compatibility tech that is Wine has a new development release available today with Wine 6.6.
For newer readers and Linux users here's a refresher - Wine is a compatibility layer built for operating systems like Linux, macOS and BSD. The idea is to allow other platforms to run games and applications only built and supported for Windows. It's also part of what makes up Steam Play Proton. Once a year or so, a new stable release is made.
The highlights of this bottle being popped include:
- Mono engine updated to version 6.1.1, with upstream updates.
- DWrite and DnsApi libraries converted to PE.
- Plug & play driver support improvements.
- Various bug fixes.
As per usual some bugs noted were fixed in older releases, it's good to see plenty being rechecked including one from 2006! 56 bugs were ticked off the list this time around including issues solved for: Half-life, Breath of Fire IV, Magic The Gathering Arena, lighting and textures issues solved for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a fix for Denuvo Anti-Cheat, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Death Stranding, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 online play, FlatOut 2 and more.
For the full scoop see the release notes.
6.4 was a major improvement to what I could now run, like Ren'ply, RPGM and Unity with no problem, but now, after 6.5, I can get nothing running. The stable version still runs 'some' of my windows stuff. Is anyone else having this problem with other windows stuff? There were some regressions such as this one recently that were fixed.

So if you retry on 6.6 hopefully those programs are working again. If not you should file a bug report.
Bumps in the road at the moment I can't get wineasio to work with 6.6 at all either.

Have you tried making a 32bit wine prefix with WINEARCH=win32. Works for me to get RPG Maker game to work and not using dxvk lets other RPG Maker games that only show a black screen(when dxvk in enabled) work.
