Portal Reloaded, a very popular community made mod for Portal 2 recently arrived on Steam and as of the latest update the developer added in preliminary Linux and macOS support.

In this community made mod you play as test subject [4-5-0-9]. Awoken from stasis by an automated AI, you are expected to complete a very special test course. Within the depths of Aperture Science, secluded from the rest of the facility, lies a previously unknown and long forgotten testing track.  Mixing up the gameplay from the originals, it adds in a third portal that allows for time travel into 20 years in the future.

Damn shame no co-op!

Dammit, no crying simile......
Thanks! I didn't know about this one. Any well-made Portal expansion is worth a look.

You know something is good when the only complaint you can come up with is that it's a bit short. I did take a break midway through to mentally digest the madness brought on by the new mechanics, but I never got stuck, which is probably a sign the puzzles are fairly intuitive, or that I'm a 4th dimensional entity from the quantum realm, either or.

Damn shame no co-op!

This is a shame. The portal 2 co-op experience was soooo much fun, would be amazing to see what new scenarios time travel could introduce with 2 players.

Just finished it. Worked perfectly for me. I enjoyed it, but it's far away from the quality that Portal Stories: Mel managed to achieve. But the credits were only from one person, so it's not reasonable to think it could be matched. The new portal mechanic is genius. There are puzzles in there that have you seeing nothing but question marks for a while. Especially the first half has some fantastic puzzle design. It does kind of drop later. As if the inspiration was running out. Especially the last one was a bit of a joke. Unless it was intended as a joke. Well, still a joke then.

Still, well worth the time if you enjoy some more portal puzzling!
