Have you been penny-pinching ready for the Steam Summer Sale 2021? Well it's live now so you can open those wallets up and build up another backlog of games.

This year Valve has announced what they're calling Forge Your Fate, which are "fourteen themed pages featuring destiny-defining micro-adventures, each one leading to an animated sticker, and all culminating in a fate-forged badge and glory". Each of them brings you to a special store page with games that fit the theme picked, and allow you to continue a little story. Additionally, the Points Shop has been updated with for all-new Game Profiles featuring animated backgrounds, mini-profiles, avatars, and colour schemes.

As per usual, we try to highlight some interesting stuff for you to try out. Here's a little list we think are worth a go:

You can grab some cheap games during Steam's Summer Sale from June 24 until July 8. As usual, the store appears to be struggling too and not all discounts are live (keep refreshing and more appear). Eventually it will smoothen out.

What will you be picking up? Do let us know in the comments what you think it's worth it.

Would be really cool if you (or any user on this site, really) could highlight more games.
Happy with the games you and some users in the comments recommended, just want more!

I loved the steam mini badge game, good writing and well presented except for the bloody stickers you can't remove from your inventory (ahem.. pigs!).

I bought some classics I have been eyeing off for years;

* Streets of Rage
* Firewatch
* Terraria
* Pilgrims
* Akane
* Zombie Night terror
* Kingdom - New Lands + Two Crowns OST
* LiS:BtS Outfit DLC because why not it's a dollar.

Kingdom New Lands I didn't really want but I wanted to supports devs and complete my collection, the new Kingdom Two Crowns is awesome.

With hundreds of games I've yet to play and all my money going into my garden this season, I really can't enjoy this Summer's Steam Sale. Still, it probably won't hurt if I take a little peek ... ;)

Steam frequently does those sales where you get something for every $X that you spend. Usually, it's a trading card, which I immediately sell for a few cents, which translates to less money spent. I've reached the point where I only buy new games during those promotions in order to achieve maximum savings. In the interim, I'll just play some of the games that I bought last time and haven't gotten around to yet.

That's pretty much every steam sale these days, this one included. You get a card per $10 / 8.40 € spent, I think. But considering you won't net more than maybe 0.05 € for selling one, you won't be saving much.

True but sometimes you get foil cards that sell for a buck or two. Plus 'not much' savings is better than none and this method keeps my List of Shame pretty small.

I didn't know that this sale was doing that though. I didn't see it anywhere. Thanks for letting me know.
