- Not only does the alternative open source Epic Games Store client Heroic Games Launcher have a new release out with 1.8.0 'Arlong' it's also gone multi-platform.
- Valve has released an updated Steam Client with some Linux improvements included
- After another while of releasing Beta builds for users to test, Valve has now pushed out the latest stable Steam Client upgrade for everyone and some Linux improvements are in.

- Another wonderful open source game engine reimplementation has a major upgrade. OpenRCT2 is a modern game engine for playing RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and it just got better.

Is momentum picking up, or was July a particularly impressive month for news? Maybe it's a bit of both. In any case, I didn't realise just how much was going on until this was all summarised.
Well, article 1 Steam Deck, 2 Steam Deck, 3 Steam Deck, 4 the only porter company left giving up on (hopefully only one) port, 5 Steam Deck, 6 Steam Deck...

In any case, I didn't realise just how much was going on until this was all summarised.Honestly, July felt like one of the busiest months we've had in some time, not just because of the Steam Deck.
