Sounds like development on the co-op survival game Valheim is progressing well, with the first major upgrade Hearth & Home currently on schedule for release this quarter. Hopefully then we will see Hearth & Home before the end of September, if all continues going well.
The team at Iron Gate have again given us a small tease of what to expect including:
- Coin stack and Coin pile - so you can build a dragon worthy hoard with all your excess wealth (sorry trolls)
- Treasure chest - to keep your additional excess wealth and supplies safe
- Iron grate - to lock up your treasures, or maybe a captured greydwarf or two
This is in addition to what they already announced previously including: darkwood roofs and window hatches; new cooking station extensions like a spice rack, butcher table, pots and pans; tweaks to how stamina and health affect combat to allow for more playstyles; a bunch of new foods like Eyescream, Shocklate smoothie, various wolf meats, and more plus onions you can plant.
Their studio has grown too with a new programmer, an animator and a QA manager who they will be introducing to to the community sometime soon.
Nice to see the game is still doing well overall though. While they're now past the peak player counts of half a million at a time it was seeing when it came out, which dropped off pretty quickly, they still see above twenty thousand on it daily which is still mighty impressive for a small team.
Buy Valheim on the Humble Store or Steam.
When they will release a new biome? it would be cool if this year we have a new biome and new weapons like flametal ore or something.I would be shocked if we got a new biome this year, that takes a ton of work and Coffee Stain have admitted in the past that Valheim's staggering success had overwhelmed them.

Mistlands at least is their next priority item after Hearth & Home is released. Originally there were going to be two content updates before that.
Relative frequent updates would be good as it's nice to see Linux native games in currently most played games in Steam statistics.
