Time to adventure through Transylvania with the upcoming Near-Mage from the developer of Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure. Stuck In Attic are back with what looks like another high quality adventure, this time mixing in a little RPG mechanics too. Near-Mage is set in the same universe as Gibbous as well.
"You have been invited to stay in Transylvania for the summer... Only to find out that you come from a long line of witches. Meet your new vampyre and strigoi classmates, embrace your destiny, and enroll in the Transylvanian Institute for Magick! A supernatural adventure made in Transylvania."

It's currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter, with the goal already reached. A dedicated Linux version was the first stretch-goal, which has already been hit too. Clearly their idea is popular with fans of adventure games. Since it's been funded, we've added it to our big list of crowdfunded titles.
You can help fund it on Kickstarter and follow on Steam.
- Really nice graphics
- Good sound, nice voices
- Riddles were good
- No technical issues at all
The only thing I didn't really like was the humor. They tried really, really hard (probably too hard) to create some jokes, but I didn't think it was funny. But maybe that's just me.
Quoting: ArehandoroGibbous was an overall very good game, and probably near-mage too, but somehow the art looks of lower quality than it predecessor. It also looks like the world is based on will be the same than Gibbous.
I thought exactly the same thing watching the trailer. Perhaps it's just because it's so early?

Very much hope so :)

The game might not look quite as nice as Gibbous, but it's still a lot prettier and better animated than a whole bunch of excellent adventure games. I won't mind at all if this is what the finished product looks like.
How is it possible that it's not yet in my Steam Library then? That's a mistake that must be corrected at once!
(I just saw that by backing the new game you get a 50% discount on Gibbous - going to do just that.)

On the other hand they've gained experience and skills in the process, so I don't doubt that it's still going to look good, albeit less finely polished.
