Alterium Shift is an in-development indie RPG styled like JRPG classics including inspiration from Chrono Trigger and FFVI.

"In this game you will experience a story rich, living world, where choices and interactions matter! You’ll journey with three heroes in training; Pyra, Atlas, and Sage. Their teacher, the war hero Dolion, strives to mold his students into heroes, ones better than himself. You start the game with the three heroes taking their final test before being sent off on an important and life changing mission. What fate awaits these heroes and can they accomplish the tasks set forth before them?"

Looks cute. I'm curious what was going on when the screen split into three perspectives. I see at their Itch page that there are three characters in the game. But there no indication of multiplayer.

Yeah, that was odd. I think it was just demonstrating a bunch of different attacks though. I'm not sure the three-way split-screen is actual gameplay, tbh.

!Frame grab from Alterium Shift video, showing three screens.

I'm one of the developers (and story writers) of the project. The game is single-player and has multiple characters. The three pictured are the primary characters and, without giving away to much, the experience can be different based on how you play in the beginning.
