Another developer is looking into native Linux builds for their game, this time it's Tomas Sala for The Falconeer in preparation for the upcoming Steam Deck handheld.
"Soar through the skies aboard a majestic warbird, explore a stunning oceanic world and engage in epic aerial dogfights, in this BAFTA nominated air combat game from solo developer, Tomas Sala.
You take on the role of Falconeer, a powerful airborne warrior traversing a vast oceanic world torn apart by generations of poisonous decisions and dissent. Throughout multiple campaigns, you will experience life from many different perspectives and loyalties as you embark on a journey of discovery, and solve the mystery of the Ursee, its people and history."
Writing on Steam, the developer said:

Quoting: CorbenAs this is on Stadia (was included in the Stadia Pro subscription to claim for free), there should already be a port available? Sure, Stadia has some unique adjustments that aren't working on Desktop Linux, but the main work should already be done, I guess.
Just tested with the dev, a test Linux build is already working, seems it will be ready soon :)
Quoting: GuestGot the chance to try it now as well and it looks good, no glitches, it just works!
I'm reading more and more "it just works!" when people discuss Linux on the desktop and gaming on Linux and it's super encouraging for the future of it's adoption. Really cool.
I enjoyed what I played of it last night. The graphics are comic bookish, but it looks quite good flying around against a backdrop of roiling seas, clouds and mist and lighting changes. I found it somewhat tranquil, and on Easy mode the missions seem pretty forgiving.
