During the GOG Winter Sale they have another game giveaway and so you can grab the classic I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream for free right now. The giveaway lasts until December 25th at 2 PM UTC.

This is part of their Throwback Thursday series, for which they have a dedicated list of other retro delights you might want to take a look at.

As a reminder of some of the big lists GOG have for their Winter Sale:

If you've picked up anything good in the GOG sale, do give over your recommendations in the comments. There's been a number of new deals added since we originally wrote about it for the first giveaway. GOG are also doing Flash Sales every 24 hours on their homepage.

I actually bought and played I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream just a couple of weeks ago. Could have waited saved a couple of bucks... Anyhow, not too bad a game, but also not as scary as I hoped it would be.

The sequel I Have No Mouth And I Must Eat Ice Cream sounds so much more frightening!

Rare you see a sequel so well integrated with the original. I mean, they go together so naturally: I must scream, you must scream, we all must scream for ice cream!

This might be the only game I played decades after release that was a very... interesting experience. Do get it. It's special.

Trying to remember whether the free games had always been tied to 'accepting to receive marketing spam'... I think it wasn't.
Yeah, a little annoying, but nothing stopping you from unsubscribing afterwards either.

Agreed. In truth, they don't send much more than Steam and neither are very frequent.
