GOG have put up their Winter Sale and it's a good chance to not only grab some cheap games but also get a free copy of the truly excellent Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
For the giveaway, scroll down a bit on the GOG.com homepage and find the giveaway banner. Click it when logged in and it will add it to your GOG library. I do love a free game, especially when it's as good as Shadow Tactics. The free game will be up until December 15th, at 2 PM UTC. However, there will be another giveaway on December 16 but they haven't said what game it will be.
The GOG team also put up a few lists for the sale including:
- Local gift guides - region-based recommendations from their Community Managers
- Warm and cozy - delightful adventures to brighten any day
- Roach's recommendations - Geralt's trusty horse's own selection apparently
- Timeless Classics - come back to the roots with a page full of good old games
- Best Sellers - those that speak for themselves
More classics have arrived too with the RTS games Star Trek Armada and Star Trek Armada II. Only officially for Windows as expected but they are old enough to likely run without issues in the Wine compatibility layer.
Expect more new releases and limited time flash deals during the sale.

Do you install via Lutris? The community install scripts tend to work well for a lot of GoG stuff and you can link it directly to your GoG account.
