You have to appreciate the effort Techland has put into supporting Dying Light, giving it new updates and events 7 years after release and now a fresh big event is live.
Spike's Story: Last Call follows the events after the death of a major antagonist but there's plenty of bandits left to take care of. They're flooding Harran in a frenzy and they've hit a survivor shelter, which has resulted in many more Virals in your way. Spike has organised a safe zone but many need help getting there. It's time for you to step in and help as many as possible and for your efforts, you will get a special melee weapon — the Crankshaft. You're not alone this time either, as a bunch of friendly survivors in special protection suits will be around to fight with you. Sounds like a Zombie-smashing good time.
The event, which Techland say is only part one, runs until January 28 19:00 CET / 18:00 UTC. We can't show you the trailer, as YouTube decided it was age-restricted and only allows you to watch via YouTube directly - so it's over there if you want to see it.
You can buy Dying Light from Humble Store and Steam.

On a silly note, the weapon isn't actually a crankshaft but rather a camshaft. There's a brand called Crane Cams and the protagonist is named Kyle Crane. The weapon also seems to tear chunks of rotting flesh out of the infected quite often. Enjoy!

YouTube just completely disallow people to watch an Embed Player if they decide it's age restricted and force you to go to YouTube directly. It's a completely dumb system. It's the same even on Steam now for their official announcement.

Dying Light is one of my favourite games. Wonder if there is still a remote possibility of native version post release.

Does it work with this particular video? As I recall, it just uses the embed version, which YouTube is now blocking apparently.

You clearly don't understand how marketing works and this is why you will never be anything more than just a consumer of slippers, and not an actual big bux marketing specialist over at Google/YouTube.

It's releasing for Windows PC and consoles. No Linux, no Mac. The Switch version will be some black magic voodoo cloud thing so it barely counts. :)
If anything, Techland would be interested in making sure DL2 runs as well as it can on the Steam Deck. The listed minimum specs for 1080p30 are 1050Ti/RX560 and the Deck should be fairly close to that, so there's at least a reasonable chance DL2 could do 30+ fps. :)
