Prefer GOG over other stores for their DRM-free collection? It's Valentines Day and of course there's a sale. The We Love Games Sale is live until Monday, February 21st at 2 pm UTC. This sale features a number of big hitters, new releases and plenty of indie gems to look out for.
The GOG team curated a few special lists for this one including:
- Old love never dies (classics)
- Friendship is love (co-op / multiplayer)
- Single by choice (singleplayer)
- I love adventures (adventure games)
- Love to be scared (horror titles)
- Flirting with the dark side (action heavy games)
Plus a few other completely randomly named lists found on their dedicated sale page.
Check out the full list of deals on GOG.com.
If you do find a particularly great deal, be sure to let readers know in the comments.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: Arcadius-8606You are not supporting your community by coming into a article that has nothing to do with the topic you wish to speak about and asking ppl to side with you towards a company. That's basically the issue, and what I've already asked to not happen in our comments. Please all, let's stop the store-to-store arguments in our comments. Please remember the commenting rules. Debate is great, difference of opinion is great, but drive-by comments about a game / topic / store you're clearly not interested in serve no purpose other than to cause friction and it's unhealthy for the community. Please let it stop now. Comments will stay open for people who actually wish to discuss anything related to the article - for everything else, there's the Forum, Discord, Telegram and so on.
Edit: that particular user has removed their account now but the point remains the same..

Let's try to bring it back to games: Since it is on sale - CLOUDPUNK is a pretty nice way to waste away some time! The gameplay itself is technically nothing to write home about, but the atmosphere is fantastic. Enjoyed it quite a bit!

Quoting: GuestOne of the reasons I barely drop by any more is that there is barely an article without advertising for steam, or plugs for steam. And that's despite using the filter thingy to hide articles about valve and steam. It's preposterous. The site has largely made itself irrelevant, for those of us who don't like DRM and are fed up of having steam shoved down our throats. Not much activity in the forum, but it's the only reason I still drop by once or twice a month.Quoting: GuestBuy from Valve, support Valve! They are the ones that deserve our support!
With that as the first comment, I do believe I'm about 2 steps away from leaving the entire community for good.
Anyway, some good deals on GOG, but since I have bought a pack of games already, and now only buy games with native Linux builds, there isn't much tempting. Instead I am currently replaying Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Since Owlcat refused to support Linux this time, on their new "Wrath" game :( That is the reason I didn't pledge in the Kickstarter two years back or whenever it was.
