Space Haven from Bugbyte Ltd. continues building up towards something truly special with it blending together spaceship building, exploration and crew management. Alpha 14 is out now with lots of new goodies. Note: if you already own it and plan on diving back in, the developer said to start a new game.

There's a huge amount of changes in this one including a smarter AI, that's more lenient on lower difficulty modes. The ability the customize your starting crew, more strategic options available in ship-to-ship combat, a rework of the crew comfort system split across Work / Leisure / Sleep, the beginnings of a total rework of the power distribution system to be less confusing, new stuff to build like an auto-turret and a small shield and the list just goes on.

Additionally, Space Haven was just recently rated as "Playable" for the Steam Deck. For it to get up to "Verified" it would need better gamepad support and not needing you to manually invoke the on-screen keyboard.

Seems it's managed to get quite a few fans, as it has now a Very Positive rating on Steam from over 4,000 players.

You can buy it from Humble Store, GOG and Steam.

It has been over a year since I have played the game. Lot of things definitely have changed. And now there's some more changes. Electricity for example had bit of a learning curve, but this latest update should make things easier.

For that reason I have separate collection in Steam for games that have had major update to gameplay since I have played them.
