The Hand of Glory, a point and click adventure from Madit Entertainment / Daring Touch has released an official Linux build. With it now available, the game is on a 55% discount until March 26, a good time to show support for another indie developer.

"The challenge from a dangerous serial killer plummets detective Lazarus Bundy’s career into a chasm with no way out.
In a desperate attempt at a comeback, Lazarus decides to secretly investigate the disappearance of Kathrin Mulzberg, the young descendant of one of the most influential families in the city.

From the sunny shores of Miami to the green lush Italian hills, he will have to use all the resources at his disposal in order to reveal the truth behind the kidnapping. And by that time, he'll be past the point of no return."

If I remember right, a Hand of Glory is the cut off hand of a hanged man (thief?), with the fingers holding up a candle. Version I've read about, the candle, when burned with the right magicky rigmarole, makes the inhabitants of a house sleep deeply so you can go in and steal from them. So, fairly creepy things.

This looks very impressive and ambitious for an indie game. 15 hours gameplay, animations and voice acting...

Looks like a must-buy for me. Not sure whether to buy it now, or to wait until the the sale is over though. On the one hand, I'd gladly pay full price for proper Linux support. But on the other, buying when it's discounted probably helps push it up on various popularity lists, which might be good for discoverability and generate additional sales. ...on the third hand, I want to play it now.

When I launched it, it was looking for "hand of glory.exe". It works when you manually run the "start" script. Its in the same location of where its looking for the exe. I made a note of it on the Steam forums.

Quoting: flesk...on the third hand, I want to play it now.

Sometimes, you just need three hands!

(Never thought of the visibility effect...)
