With the big Sentinel update to Path of Exile out now, I gave it a spin on my Steam Deck to get a feel for the controls and it really does work nicely.

As one of the biggest action-RPGs available on Steam, and it being free to play, it's wonderful to see it working so well out of the box thanks to Proton with no changes being needed to have it running. This update doesn't just affect the Steam Deck though of course, as controller support on desktop should work great too. You can view the full patch notes here.

Have a look at my video below briefly showing off how it works on Steam Deck:

Considering how smooth it is and how genuinely good it feels with the Steam Deck controls, it's highly likely I'll be personally spending a lot more time with this one. Since it has a built-in Vulkan rendering system, performance on Steam Deck and Linux desktops continues to be really good overall.

Path of Exile is available on the Steam Page.

Nice controller support. Benn playing all week with a generic cheap controller or on my phone with steam link.
All good until now on my rig.

Guessing the various "firing" commands should be mapped to the triggers so you can move, aim and fire all at once. That way when kiting you can back up and fire rather than standing still.
