Reminder: Update your PC info for the next round of statistics updates

As a side note, what I'd like Steam to tell me these days is whether a game is best played with keyboard and mouse or controller (Deck or TV should be more or less equivalent).
Anyone else is wondering when picking their next game?

Yeah, I often think that this'd be a nice feature, even without considering the Steam Deck. With all of the input options that PC-gaming offers, it actually seems a bit strange that they haven't done this already - I can remember console-game boxes doing this decades ago!

You could solve that problem by adding another drive and dual booting.

General steps I can remember from memory are:
1. Install Windows first (done)
2. Boot to Linux thumb drive
3. Install Linux and boot loader onto dedicated drive. Do not overwrite your Windows drive or boot loader.
4. Go into your BIOS and tell it to boot to the Linux drive by default
5. Once booted to Linux, tell Grub to scan all your drives for other operating systems so that when your BIOS boots to the Linux boot loader, you can select Windows if you like. You can even have the Linux boot loader boot to Windows by default.

And, of course, the Arch wiki covers this topic in detail. :)

Thanks guys, I need to go do some research (best version of Linux to go for and all that kind of thing).

The month has passed already but anyways, if I am using nvidia open kernel modules should I propriearty or open source GPU driver? Theoritically I should choose open source becuase pretty much every GPU deiver is propriearty firmware + open software stack except on Nvidia open all graphics stack is in the firmware.

I think the question is now confusing becasue it doesn't differentiate kernel driver and graphics stack like OpenGL / Vulkan. Before there was no option to have a mix.
