An absolute gem of a game this and now perhaps a good time to go back and spend some proper time with it, as the rather large The Sunken Sea update is out now.

Blending elements and a feel of the likes of Minecraft, Terraria and more it's a great underground exploration and crafting game that's currently in Early Access. It continues to do well after selling 500K in two weeks.

The new biome can be accessed once you've defeated the first three bosses, which brings down the wall that separates the sections of the game. There's also the sub-biome Forlorn Metropolis, a new boss, a new side-boss, 5 new enemies, a fishing merchant, boats, a new workbench type, portals you can craft for teleporting around, 10 new weapons including a bow, new food and fish types and lots more. Looking forward to digging more into this one. Works great on desktop Linux and Steam Deck with the Native Linux build that's Deck Verified.

Available to buy from Humble Store and Steam.

I love this game and almost every aspect of it. It's really relaxed when it comes to play, the love that has been put on it is massive.

But even if I do. I'm a bit worried because even if I like the new content they released, I'm fearing for it to become another Valheim.

They have a really good game and it promises, but I'm worried about the fact that after three months, I think it's not hard to play all the content in a few hours.

I guess part of the problem is the fact that they're not many devs and they did not expect all the success they're having.

One thing I really missed on this release is the lack of new skills or some feedback in-game towards how much you gain for each action you do. New characters hair, customisation, (like a mirror to change it's appearance, not necessarily to make them vampires x) )

Besides all this, I think some points are really huge and magnificent:

Spoiler, click me
The dedication they have for fishing (I love it, even if I'd like the system to be a bit different) the amount of work they put on taking care about the music and the art. I mean, who doesn't relax with that environment, the songs.

I'm not very good reviewing games, but please, know that this is just my opinion. Therefore, beside all the wrong things I find about it, I love it, and I just hope it keeps improving.

And the best thing about it, a fully functional Linux native version :) I love the devs for the love towards our community!
